1. Persevering Marriage and why it’s important for the black community.
2. You will hear the story Ms. Compton-Rock (Wife of Chris Rock) and her great charity work. Ms. Compton-Rock takes 13 African American students to South Africa, which she hopes will provide them with confidence, create our next civic leaders, and hope these children will discover new passions outside their own broken homes and communities here in the U.S.
3. You will see the story of a young black college educated women (engineer), who is currently working as project manager for a top company. However, this young women who’s making 75k per year, owns a home in GA is still striving for more. Sidenote: There are only 7 black CEO’s for fortune 500 companies.
4. They also highlight the great work of Tyler Perry whose grossed $370 million dollars through his production company and the work he does to give back. You will learn a little about his up bringing history.
5. You will also learn about Steven Perry who opened up “Capital Prep” school for young black students that desire to achieve more. Since it’s opening this school has had a 0 drop out rate and everyone whose attended this school go on to college.
